Fahimeh Mehrabi

Student

Fahimeh Mehrabi has served as the Editorial Assistant for The Canadian Review of Sociology since the summer of 2025. Her hard work, commitment, and her ability to work as part of a small but mighty team can be considered as a form of committing sociology.

Fahimeh organizes reviews with our Student Advisory Board, screens new submissions for adherence to journal requirements, manages the active manuscripts' status, and corresponds with and helps coordinate reviewers. Fahimeh also produces initial copyedited versions of accepted manuscripts, which are then reviewed by the Executive Editor, Michael Adorjan. She was also instrumental when transitioning to Wiley's new online submission system. Navigating this entailed not only identifying and working through technical issues with the system but keeping submissions organized between the old and new systems.

Her dedication as the Editorial Assistant for The Canadian Review of Sociology, leadership and mentorship for the Student Advisory Board, make Fahimeh a worthy recipient of a Committing Sociology Certificate.
